Urine Aliquoting System
The IDS-Hr2 is a smart and compact urine aliquotting system designed to automate the preparation of urine samples for both automated chemistry and sediment analysis.
By aliquoting urine directly from the patient’s collection cup, IDS-Hr2 has the mechanism to ensures accurate volume distribution, test-specific tube labeling, and efficient sample sorting.
This enables laboratories to immediately transfer the prepared aliquotted samples to their respective analyzers for on-the-spot testing and analysis.
The IDS-Hr2 seamlessly integrates with the IDS Sample Transport System, enabling full automation of sample transfer to designated urine analyzers without any manual handling.
This ultimately improves the reliability of patient test results, supporting more precise diagnostics and improved patient care

01. Urine Cup Inlet/Outlet Extension (Optional)
Increased capacity for placing additional urine collection cups and receiving completed sample cups for further testing.
✅ Detects insufficient urine volume and alerts operators right away.
02. Urine Cup Loading Area (Main)
- Urine Cup is Loaded.
- Barcode is read to confirm arrival.
- Detects insufficient urine volume and alerts operators right away.
03. Labeling Area
- Depending on the test ordered specified tubes are fed to the labeling area.
- Prints barcode label and applies to each aliquot tube.
04. Aspirating and Aliquoting Area
Urine Sample from collection cup is aliquotted to either round bottom (for chemistry analysis) or conical shaped (for sediment analysis) tubes - depending on test ordered.
- Features IDS unique aliquot tip with an aspirating volume of 22ml. Enabling multiple aliquots from a single draw, minimizing delays in processing time.
- New disposable aliquot tips are fed for every sample
05. Error or Completed Sample Unloading
Discharges error or completed samples* and notifies the operator with a melody
06. Urine Sample Auto-Disposal Area (At the back of the Processor. Not visible)
Depending on sample disposal instructions, urine are drained either into an external pipe or a polyethylene tank and cups are disposed separately.
07. Urine Cup Auto-Disposal Area (At the back of the Processor. Not visible)
Completed collection cups are disposed separately from urine sample.
08. Outlet (for aliquot tubes)
Unloading and sorting of aliquot tubes on respective personality racks
09. Touch-Screen Control Monitor
Intuitive User Interface which requires less time to learn how to operate.

1. Urine Collection Cup is placed on the loading plate and barcode is read to confirm sample arrival.

2. The collection cup is rotated and agitated by a unique mechanism to ensure thorough mixing of the sample before aspiration.

3. Prints and applies labels traceable to primary sample on aliquot tubes based on the required tests.

4. Aspirating from Primary Sample and Aliquoting to Secondary Tubes using 22ml disposable dispensing tips

5. Sorting and unloading completed aliquot tubes into respective analyzer rack(s).

6. Disposal of urine sample and cup* depending on sample instructions.
