IDS-CLAS X-1
Modern core laboratories often experience operational variability during peak hours, STAT surges, and unpredictable sample congestion.
The IDS-CLAS X-1 is engineered to restore workflow stability through continuous sample transport, intelligent sample prioritization, and real-time traceability.
Built on our belt-less magnetic transport technology, the system delivers predictable, non-stop sample movement even during peak workloads.
Since its introduction in 2016, the X-1 platform has evolved through extensive customization of processing modules, analyzer connections, and workflow configurations across diverse laboratory environments.
Today, the IDS-CLAS X-1 stands as a proven mid-volume Total Laboratory Automation (TLA) solution designed to stabilize workflow, reduce bottlenecks, and scale with future laboratory needs.

Inlet Module
For Faster & Smarter Sample Loading & Routing
The Inlet is responsible for receiving and loading samples onto the track system while confirming incoming sample receipt and information through barcode scanning.
Introduce STAT samples as needed without interrupting inlet operation.
Loading Capacity: 400 Samples (8 x IDS 50-tube racks
Bulk Loader
Designed to handle high volumes of incoming samples, the bulk loader accommodates samples to be loaded or poured through the opening as needed. The sample barcode is scanned to determine routing and confirm receipt in the laboratory LIS.
- Throughput : up to 600 samples/hours
- Track supports redundant modules
Centrifuge Module
Fast load and unload up to 40 samples per spin cycle with an auto-balancing feature to manage short turnaround time and removes centrifugation batching delays.
- The track supports redundant modules to manage increased sample volume.
- Available in ambient or refrigerated models
Decapper Module
Caps of sample tubes are removed by a rotational mechanism, which gets directly discarded into the internal bio-hazard container.
- Rubber stopper
- Plastic stoppers
- Twist/screw caps
Minimizing aerosol exposure and ensuring lab biosafety.
- Track supports redundant modules
Aliquoting System
- De-caps centrifuged primary tube and prepares secondary aliquot tubes based on test orders.
Alerts operators right away if samples are short of blood volume upon receipt. - Processes to up to 4 different primary tube type
- Samples can be sorted out into personality racks within this connecting module
- Error samples can be routed to inlet/outlet module

Inlet/Outlet Module
The 8-rack inlet/outlet module has a walkaway time of 400 samples. Each rack holds up to 50 sample tubes.
Removes samples from Automation Line and load them into outlet rack for operators to manually proceed with "completed", "in-progress", and "error" samples.
The rack sorting configuration can be customized to allow laboratories organize samples based on specific their projects or operational needs
Analyzer Connections
Rack or Tube-builder Connections
IDS can develop appropriate automated transfer arms designed to unload samples from sample tube carriers and place them into your laboratory analyzer racks.
Recapper Module
Samples that requires to be stored or for archive storage, the tubes are re-capped securely using clean IDS Proprietary (plastic) caps
Walkaway capacity: 600 caps
3K or 5K Storage Module
Stores up to 3060 sample tubes (9x 340-tube storage rack) and 5440 sample tubes respectively (16x 340-tube storage rack)
Samples are unloaded from carriers that are on the transport lane one at a time and systematically placed into storage racks.
• Samples can be automatically retrieved for re-runs and add-ons
Optional automated sample disposal available
Outlet Module
The 8-rack outlet module has a walkaway time of 400 samples. Each rack holds up to 50 sample tubes.
Removes samples from Automation Line and load them into outlet rack for operators to manually proceed with "completed", "in-progress", and "error" samples.
The rack sorting configuration can be customized to allow laboratories organize samples based on specific their projects or operational needs.
